The only problem is that what is to stop someone from using "spiritual warfare" to claim they also are still in only for use of spying. Not that it would happen but there is a chance.

Stuck in the "Truth"
by IMustBreakAway ini notice from comments posted that many here who post (and untold scores who lurk) are still "in".
perhaps their social / family circles are too constricted for freedom of mind, and or, they are too afraid to rock the boat.
or too young to strike out on their own and are dependent on jw parents for support.

Anyone got their meeting cancelled for snow or ice?
by WTWizard inwith the big snowstorm this past weekend, did anyone get their boasting session cancelled?
or, were they foolhardy and so stupid that, even though there was 4 feet of snow and/or the power lines were down, they decided to hold the damn thing anyway?.

In NC almost every time it snows over 1 inch the meetings get canceled. I was actually at an assembly that got canceled mid way through. We ended up getting like 6 inches of snow in a day, it was pretty fun of course.

I'm going to add my two cents. First of all if anyone is to blame for the poor media it's ourselves. If we didn't watch because of the entertainment the ceo's would make it more newsy. Also most news org's (tv) get there news from the a.p. who gets there news from local newspapers newspapers are facing cutbacks and shortages because instead of making 8 million in profit they now only make 6 million in profit. Greed causes all of this, because the newspapers can't cover all the news they have to go for what sells. That is the problem. Got to fix the foundation.

Rutherford Exposed: The Story of Berta and Bonnie (redux)
by Leolaia inin september 2004, farkel posted an article on this forum called "rutherford exposed: the story of berta and bonnie.
" his essay, which subsequently was translated into several languages and which received over 10,000 views after the first month, spawned a thread that ran 28 pages and contained the collaborative research efforts of many in jwd.
this thread was thought by some moderators to be the best in the forum -- not necessarily because of the claims in the original essay but because it inspired a staggering amount of research aimed at assessing the credibility of the claims made in the essay, as well as adding to our knowledge of this fascinating yet obscure chapter of watchtower history.

Wasn't this in the "Best Of" for awhile? I remember reading it when I first got on the board. Anyways I really dig the Rutherford keg picture. Sorry but he just looks damn cool in it. I don't care how mean or what he setup...the hat the lean damn exuding coolness.

Usually I try not to be too critical, but I got 20 bucks that says this guy goes to the public hospital when he gets injured and doesn't pay a dime. Also it's the same old story told over and over again, the Witnesses are afraid of loosing a small amount of money so they get one lone person to sue the government to make it look like their religion is the minority, smart but a little petty. I can understand why they are afraid of the waterfall that could come from this.
